  1. Certainly a compelling story. Daniel does a great job of communicating and networking. In spite of his non-stop efforts, and the abundance of data, resources, etc. he openly publishes, his presence on social media, his organization continues to struggle. I live a mere 30 miles from Chicago, in a town that has a teen drop-in center mostly funded by paid class offerings. I told them about the Tutor/Mentor Institute a few months ago; they were totally unaware. I’m not sure what else Daniel could do to raise awareness and build further momentum. With the worse-than-ever violence this summer in Chicago, one would think community leaders would seek out programs that lead to positive change.
